The RTR Mustang Mach-E

The RTR Mustang Mach-E

RTR Vehicles  are known for building incredibly fast Ford Mustangs and Rangers, but this time they did something a little bit different. In the middle of 2019 Ford released the new Mustang Mach-E and RTR wanted to do something very special. So they created the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400, an absolute drift monster.

When Ford Performance and RTR released teaser photos showing tons of tire marks on the ground, I suspected a drift car was coming. But. I thought It would just be another drift Mustang. However, tthis was no normal Mustang, it is an electric 1,400 horsepower Mustang Mach-E with a fully carbon fibre body.

This car has a total of SEVEN electric motors that produce 1,400 horsepower all to the rear wheels. And since it's electric it has massive amounts of torque. 2300 foot pounds of it to be exact. That's almost 11 times as much torque as the average family car! WIth all that power you need incredible grip, so Nitto Tire supplied some of their grippiest tires, but this thing still slides like it's out of control.

The whole car is in race car spec. Every panel is carbon fibre, it has a full FIA Approved rally cage and four Recaro racing seats, two in the front and two in the back, so you and your three friends can rip around at the track all in one car. There is also a 16.5 inch display that is the same one from the production model.

This car was tested by some of the Ford Performance drivers including Ken Block, Vaughn Gittin Jr, Chelsea DeNofa, Hailie Deegan and Joey Logano. Every one of them had a blast in this amazing machine, they also had some great opinions about it. For example Vaughn Gittin Jr said “Getting behind the wheel of this car has completely changed my perspective on what power and torque can be.” Ken Block loves the way this car can initiate a drift and have instant power. He loved it.

So, as you can see this car is pretty incredible. Pro drivers love this car and have some very positive opinions about it. Whether you like it or not this car may have shaped out the future for  electric cars. They are getting faster and more powerful all the time and when you combine that with the fact that electric cars can get up to 500 miles between recharges, electric may just be the future of all cars.
