Lets Talk About New Cars

New cars are getting smarter, more powerful than ever we had ever imagined, but with

all this new tech, what cars are manufacturers actually making for 2023? Well today I will answer the question, what will these new cars really be like?

The first car I want to start with is the new Ferrari Purosangue, a direct 4 seat SUV competitor to the Lamborghini Urus. The Urus is incredible, it is everything a Lambo should be, but with more seats. From personal experience I can say it is an absolutely incredible car to be in. You feel like you are in a supercar but yet you still weigh over just under five thousand pounds. My one question for the new Ferrari SUV is, will it really be able to compete with the Lamborghini Urus? From what I've seen of the new Ferrari, It does not look the most appealing. It looks like you gave a breadvan a Ferrari make over and a lot of horsepower. I think the Urus just set the bar too high. it will be a great car, coming from Ferrari it can’t be anything but, but will it really be able to take down the Lambo? I highly doubt it, but we will see in the next few months.

Another model that I'm looking forward to seeing is the GR Corolla hatch. It's very similar to the European only GR Yaris, but the Corolla is slightly bigger. The Corolla will also be a 4 door while the smaller Yaris is only a 2 door. From what i've seen, this will be the new (or old) competitor to the Focus RS, but considering Ford does not make an RS anymore, there is really only one other competitor, the Golf R. So, the new GR Corolla will be a direct competitor to the Golf R (even possibly the Veloster N but that's FWD and way cheaper) but can the Toyota really compete with the Volkswagen? Yes, I'm very hopeful it will. From what some people have been saying about the GR Yaris, it's possibly one of the best sports cars Europe has ever gotten. It's cheap, light and nimble and perfect for the European market, and I have a feeling that the Corolla will be the same way. We’ll just have to wait and see.

The Hemi was Dodge's mid range engine for the Hellcat and Charger, this Hemi worked by using a “Hemispherical Combustion chamber” with domed shaped cylinders that created less surface area than a normal engine, making the loss of heat and energy less. But this engine had many, many problems, including misfires, and many other annoying issues. Well, finally, Dodge  axed the Hemi officially in late 2021, and they have stopped production of the engine. The new engine, a 3.0 Inline 6 Twin Turbo, which could possibly save the Hellcat and Charger A LOT. This engine, being an inline 6, would have a ton of tuning capabilities. I would imagine over 600+ horsepower, with all stock internals. It would be even better if Dodge offered this new I6 as a crate engine so It could be swapped into new builds! I'm very excited for when we finally see the day that a Dodge engine could have the tuning capabilities of a RB or LS, making it a largely popular engine to swap into other cars. The possibilities of a 3.0L Inline 6 from Dodge are really endless, drag build, drift build, street car, just a good all around motor and I really can't wait!

Even more recently, Dodge also released what everyone dreaded, the electric Charger SRT. With fake engine noise and a huge ugly looking hood, people (including me) really don’t like this thing. With the amount of backlash from Dodge fans, we don’t even know if they even want to keep it under the Charger nameplate, I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

What is a good front wheel drive, 2 seater with enough power and incredible handling? Well, it's gotta be the old Integra! The old Integra was probably one of the best fun little sports cars you could buy at the time, It was light, snappy and super cheap, and tuneable, this made it incredibly popular. But the new 2023 Integra does not look that promising, Just a 2 door TLX with some decals. Acura also said that the Integra will be their last ever new gas powered vehicle, so I guess we're just going to have to live with it. I'm just hoping the aftermarket support will be good, so we can see some super cool builds with this new “Integra”.

2023 looks promising (and not promising in equal measure) to the car community. I'm definitely super excited to see some of these new cars. I guess we'll just have to wait to see if they are any good or not though!
