In the Future Should Cars be Hybrid or Electric

In the future I think that all cars should be hybrid because they are cheaper. In addition Hybrid cars have cool perks that electric cars don’t have, and Hybrid cars don't get old as fast as electric cars. 

My first reason is hybrid cars are cheaper. The cheapest electric car is $31,000 and the cheapest hybrid car is $19,500. That's an $11,500 difference so you will be saving a lot more money when you buy a hybrid car. Also, gas prices are lower because you use less gas.

Another reason is hybrid cars have cool perks that electric cars don't have for example hybrid cars can run on just gas or just electricity. Also, hybrid cars have less road tax than gas cars. But electric cars have a lot less tax than any cars because they don’t have emissions, which makes them cheaper after you buy them. Another advantage of hybrid cars is when you brake you gain electricity which in turn gives you more miles to the gallon, therefore hybrid cars are the best vehicles for long-distance driving because of this. 

My final reason that hybrid cars are better is they don't get old as electric cars. Most Electric car batteries die out in around 5 years. If you have your electric car for a long time you're going to need to replace your battery a lot. New batteries usually cost around $5000-$7000 to replace, and are difficult to recycle (therefore bad for the environment) which is a big chunk out of your wallet. But when you have a hybrid car the battery lasts just over 10 years. So you will be spending half the money if you get a hybrid car.

One other thing to note; hybrid cars are getting faster, for example take a look at the Porsche 918. It is one of the most technologically advanced cars to date and its a hybrid. Take a look at the BMW I8 the car that changed how we look at hybrid supercars, its fast, ecological, and relatively cheap. But electric cars are getting stronger at the same time check out the Bollinger B1 and B2 they are super cool and tough electric trucks. Ford just Released the new F-150 E which is a torque monster. So both Hybrid and Electric cars are getting better by the minute.

I think we should have hybrid cars in the future because they are cheaper than most cars, they have cool perks that electric cars don't have and finally, they don't get old as fast as electric cars. Cars are getting better and better by the second and these cars are more advanced than most cars. But I think that hybrid cars will come out on top. What do you think?
